<title>Applications for the 2026 round of Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) grants are now available! </title>

<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Historic Preservation Fund (HPF)</strong></p><p><br />Applications for the 2026 round of Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) grants are now available! Additional information is provided through links on that page including the HPF Products Manual and HPF grant-funded survey requirements.&nbsp;</p><p>HPF grants are used to fund projects such as historic property surveys, National Register nominations, preservation plans, design-review guidelines, and educational activities such as brochures, conferences and workshops. The grant monies may be used to fund up to 60 percent of project costs. The other 40 percent (recipient match) must be furnished by the project sponsor and may be provided through cash or in-kind services and materials.</p><p>HPF grant applications must be submitted through the online application portal linked on the HPF Grants webpage. <strong>The submittal deadline is June 5, 2026</strong>. <title>KDOT Behavioral Safety Grant Program</title>

<description><![CDATA[<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;"></span><p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong>KDOT will accept applications for the Behavioral Safety grant program starting April 9.</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">KDOT receives National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) grant funds to use for education, enforcement and emergency response efforts across the state. The funds are intended to be used for <b>non-infrastructure safety projects</b> to reduce traffic-related deaths and injuries. There are two grant opportunities:</span></p><ol start="1"> <li><b><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Education and/or Emergency Response Grants: </span></b><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">The Behavioral Safety Grant Program is accepting applications for grant funds from April 9 to May 15 for education and emergency response projects. A webinar will take place at 10 a.m. April 13 to allow interested applicants to learn more about the process. Additional information about the program is available on KDOT’s website: </span><a href="https://www.ksdot.gov/programs/safety-programs/education-enforcement-and-emergency-response"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">KSDOT.gov/EEER</span></a></li></ol><ol start="2"> <li><b><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Enforcement Agency Grants: </span></b><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">The Special Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) is accepting applications from local law enforcement agencies for enforcement, equipment and training funds from May 1 to June 30. A webinar will take place at 9 a.m. May 7 to allow interested applicants to learn more about the process. Additional information about the program is available on KDOT’s website: </span><a href="https://www.ksdot.gov/programs/safety-programs/special-traffic-enforcement-program"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">KSDOT.gov/STEP</span></a></li></ol><p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">All grant applicants must identify and demonstrate the need for traffic safety funds in their communities. Local and state government, law enforcement agencies, schools, universities, public health agencies, community coalitions, first responder agencies and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Grants are awarded for the federal fiscal year (October 1 to September 30) to address identified traffic safety initiatives. All grant funds are reimbursement-based. <title>Federal S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Grant Program</title>
